I have uploaded my podcast to the powerpoint presentation, now that i know how to do it, i should be able to do it more easily once my learners have finished their project. The www.gcast.com website is where i have done this. I need to make sure that i have the podcast nearly finished a couple of weeks after the half term.
I have been very impressed by google docs and will definitely use this again in the classroom. It wont be appropriate for me to use it in my project though.
Im also interested to learn more about xerte, the software looked excellent, shame that it will be a pain to use in college working hours.

Routes Shop Survey
Ok guys, so we need to make a survey to find out what customers would like in the shop. If they think it is too expensive and so on.
Please leave your ideas for questions below.

Fear and Loathing in Assignments.
Iv now found out what is required for part of the assessments, not good news, 4 lesson plans, cycled as part of a SOW all under the banner of blended learning. Enough to make me as sick as i was last week...
With time not on my side this is my idea,
It is my one and only idea...
Get my learners to carry out some Market Research for the Routes shop that they run in the reception area at the Barons Court site. Aim to discover what customers would like to see in the shop, cereal bars, stationary, that sort of thing....
Week 1 Lesson
- Students to set up blogs,
- Use blogs to come up with questions for survey etc.
Week 2 Lesson,
-Finalize questions in blogs
-use www.surveymonkey.com to design question layout, for example multiple choice q's.
-Feedback survey progress into blogs.
Week 3 Lesson,
- Send out survey electronically, All staff list, All students.
- Look into podcasting and set up an account.
Week 4 Lesson,
- Look at the results collected so far,
-podcast the success or failure of the project so far.
-Update blogs, pose questions like 'are we getting the results we had hoped for?'
Week 5 Lesson,
- Pod cast the final results,
- Conclude Market Research in blog discussion.
And that is that....

E-Learning, web searching and accessibility...
My first session of this new module was an interesting one, we began by being placed into groups, i was a part of Marie's, Elizabeth's and Conrad's. The activity was one that we all had a good understanding, Conrad and I see some of the accessibility issues daily and as a group we came up with a detailed mindmap, built using software that i had previously been unfamiliar with. I would like to use this again as i am still a bit unclear.
The skills that we focused upon in the session will come in handy in assignment writing (internet searching) as well as practically in the class room (mind mapping). My ability to search for info on t'internet is strong from my time spent doing it at uni, hopfully this will show in the forthcoming sessions.
As i missed the first session i am still unsure of what is expected of me by way of assessment for this module. Must sort this out at the next session....
